About Me
About — Silvano Russo
I didn’t build software. I built the tools I wished I had when I was working inside companies.
My name is Silvano Russo, a Certified Accountant and business consultant. I have spent over 40 years working with companies — first from the inside, then as an external advisor.
My first 18 years were spent working inside manufacturing companies, working in management control. I built budgets, analyzed variances, managed productive and auxiliary cost centers, tracked machine hours, and monitored production waste. I learned what it truly means to control a business from within — with real numbers, real problems, and real pressure.
I then opened my own professional practice as a Certified Accountant and business consultant, supporting manufacturing and commercial companies in their economic and financial management for many years. I witnessed firsthand how small and medium enterprises struggle to access professional management control tools: either they pay for expensive, oversized ERP systems, or they make do with improvised Excel spreadsheets that provide no real answers.
For twenty years, alongside my consulting work, I served as a Court-Appointed Bankruptcy Trustee, managing up to 18 insolvency proceedings simultaneously. I witnessed firsthand what happens when a business loses control of its economic and financial management. Excel Economy was born from that experience too.
It is not a startup. It is not a product built by a team of developers. It is the work of a professional who spent a lifetime doing exactly what these tools do — and who decided to put that knowledge into instruments accessible to any business.
If you are looking for a professional management control tool for your company, written by someone who has actually done this work, you are in the right place.
